I recently spent some time reading about small-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG), and I found it interesting how this approach is expanding access to natural gas in locations where large pipeline infrastructure may not be practical.
Small-scale LNG involves the production, storage, transportation, and distribution of liquefied natural gas through smaller facilities and localized supply networks. It is used in applications such as marine transportation, heavy-duty vehicles, industrial operations, remote power generation, and communities that are not directly connected to major natural gas pipelines. By cooling natural gas into its liquid form, it becomes much easier to transport and store over long distances.
